How to Instantly Stop Tooth Decay
September 13, 2012 Tooth Decay
Is there a way to instantly stop tooth decay? Is there a way to reverse it?
Learning how to stop tooth decay is a process and not a destination. Over time, when we neglect the health of our teeth, they can become worse and worse. An easy way to think about it is to imagine an athlete who is very fit and healthy. Over time, he stops exercising, he stops eating healthy and does less and less physical activity. As he eats more and more junk food, his body is going to start to atrophy. So are his muscles and bone density.
When we eat processed foods, our teeth do a lot less exercise. They don’t get the nutrition that they need to stay healthy. Sugars and processed foods are easily converted into acids that erode our tooth enamel.
The good news is this process can be reversed. Even demineralized teeth can become weak become strong. Once we learn how to properly care for our teeth, we can learn how to instantly stop tooth decay and help our teeth to fully recover.
The first thing that we want to do is to not eat a lot of sugar. Sugar is instantly converted into an acid which weakens your enamel. If you want to stop tooth decay right away, just stop eating processed sugars.
Sugars can take a lot of different forms and it is sometimes difficult to know which forms are bad for you. Hard candies, dried fruit, and even sugary soda can mean very bad for your teeth. In addition, most processed foods are actually bad for your teeth also.
When I used to have cavities, every time I ate sugar, my tooth would start to hurt. I decided to stop eating it for a while and see how my teeth did. The pain almost completely disappeared.
If your tooth is in a lot of pain, you can also stop it from hurting by chewing garlic or using clove oil. This will stop the pain because they will kill the bacteria that is infecting your tooth.
Nutrition is also a good way to reverse tooth decay. Make sure you’re getting plenty of milk, especially raw milk when possible. Anything that is good for your bone structure and development will also be good for your teeth. Your teeth will demineralize in an acidic environment. But when they are mineralized, they become stronger when you have the right nutrition.
Another great tool that I have used to stop tooth decay is a Miswak stick. Chewing on the stick for 20 minutes a day can work wonders for your teeth and gums. It makes them much stronger and more resistant to decay. They can even help reverse decay because it allows blood to freely flow through your teeth and gums. In addition, it also bathes your mouth in calcium rich saliva and kills bad bacteria that cause cavities and tooth decay to become worse.
Chewing on one of the sticks is part of what enabled me to get rid of my cavities very quickly. To find out more about what you can do to instantly stop tooth decay and how it to reverse it, visit our homepage at http://preventingcavities.com
